Fishing West Coast Norway with Eagle Safari

Yesterday we went fishing West Coast, Norway. This is back home in my small village Åheim, right by the furious Stadt Ocean that is famous in Norway for it´s hard weather and tough storms. Yesterday it was a perfect day for fishing at West coast, the ocean was completely flat and no wind. With other words perfect for an Easter tan on the fjord. Of course catching our dinner for the day and have some Eagle safari was also on the menu.

In our small village we have the privilege to have a fjord full of fish as well some of the most spectacular sea eagles. They are taking advantage of the richness in the fjord, like everybody else. The white-tailed eagle is a very large bird. It measures 66–94 cm (26–37 in) in length with a 1.78–2.45 m (5.8–8.0 ft) wingspan. It is a spectacular sight for the eye to see it go down and catch the fish of the day.

For dinner we had coal-fish (sei) and torbay sole (smørtunge) – taste like butter when you eat it.
