Today my sister and I went exploring in the Everglades with Everglades Holiday Park. We had a great hour out on the Everglades exploring the wildlife; alligators, colorful birds and other exotic things. To actually see the Alligators in their natural habitat, is a pretty exciting thing to do for two Norwegian girls that have only seen them on television. Finally we got to see them in real life! It was very exciting to suddenly spot an alligator in the water and see it swim up to us. They are very graceful in the water.
Everglades Holiday park in Florida
After an hour boat trip we went to the alligator show, and had an introduction about the alligators:
Did you know, that in Florida there is actually 2 000 000 millions of alligators? The population of Norway is 5 000 000 millions – that is a whole country, not just a state.
Alligators are extremely lazy, they don’t´t want to waste energy if they don’t have to. Such a convenient life. They can survive with only one meal a year – laziness on another level.
What is a Nuisance Alligator?
Nuisance Alligator, was a new word for me. I learned, and now I know. An alligator is considered a nuisance if it is four feet in length and is believed to be a threat to people, pets or property.
Everglades Holiday park, is doing an amazing job with the Gator Boys in rescuing alligators from being destroyed. When there are a nuisance alligator that jump´s in to someone´s pool, the Gator Boys go and pick them up. Then keep them in the Everglades Holiday Park for education and give them a home in a reserve.
The Gator Boys is a television show at Animal Planet. They have this bad ass girl that also hang along in the show. She was the one giving the alligator show today. I just salute her for doing an amazing job with conservation and preservation of the alligators in the Everglades Holiday Park. She gave an awesome presentation of the alligators, it was easy to see that she loved doing it.

Is a great half day adventure for the young and the adventures one in Florida. For two adults the cost is 51 us with a coupon discount. When being in the States you have to do some discounts coupons. We did see alligators and other great animal life. We enjoyed. A happy day exploring the wilderness of the Everglades.
Next on our trip we went to the Keys of Florida, for two days. After that we went to Disney World. What an amazing month in Florida
