Yesterday we went fishing on the West Coast in Norway. In other words, my at my hometown. Back home in my small village Åheim, right by the furious Stadt Ocean that is famous in Norway for its hard weather conditions and harsh storms.
Yesterday it was a perfect day for fishing on the West Coast, and the ocean was completely flat and no wind. With other words perfect for an Easter tan on the fjord. Of course, catching our dinner for the day and have some Eagle safari was also on the menu.
In our small village, we have the privilege to have a fjord full of fish as well as some of the most spectacular sea eagles. They are taking advantage of the richness in the fjord, like everybody else.
The white-tailed eagle is a gigantic bird. It measures 66–94 cm (26–37 in) in length with a 1.78–2.45 m (5.8–8.0 ft) wingspan. It is a spectacular sight for the eye to see it go down and catch the fish of the day.
For dinner, we had coal-fish (sei) and Torbay sole (smørtunge) – taste like butter when you eat it.
