In Norway, we have 18 Norwegian Scenic Routes, that are located around different parts of Norway. Jæren or Jaeren has one of them located right by the ocean side and gives a glimpse of the life at Jæren, which mostly includes agriculture, beautiful landscape, and Norway’s longest beach – Orrestranda.
Many people say that you haven’t seen Norway before you have seen Jæren. And I agree. Because Jæren has a unique landscape that has to be seen because the ocean-view is massive. The light is ever-changing, and the lighthouses are there to guide ships crossing the coast of Jæren to safe passages.

The roof on the two houses has not been changed. Tha’s due to the protection that Helleren has given the houses. Both houses are from the 1800s; some parts of the building might be older. Most likely, there have been settlements since the 1500s.
