How to Pack the Scandinavian Look

The Scandinavian look is all about chunky boots with a walk-able practical heel. Scandinavian is surrounded by hard climate; by this, they adapt to the environment and create a functional every day that will never disappoint your every day look. If you need more nice tips, I would recommend:

7 Tips for Packing to Norway from a Norwegian

Get the Scandinavian Look

The cultural differences between the countries are that Swedish tends to be more minimal, Danish is more playful, and Norwegian incorporate more embellishments. The overall Scandinavian look is a mix of minimalist shapes, rock’n’ roll attitude, and no-nonsense everyday appeal.

Personally, as a Scandinavian girl, I will describe my look as comfortable and relaxed. My favorite pieces in my wardrobe are skinny jeans, a wool sweater, a silk top, a leather skirt, quality knitwear, scarfs, and pistol boots. My look is fuss-free but effortlessly chic, or at least that’s what I’m trying to achieve.

How Would You Define Scandinavian Look now?

I think it’s very laid-back but at the same time sophisticated. It’s uncomplicated and comfortable to wear. Scandinavians are very good at lending their twist to their look, like with layers.

The Scandi Look that is Ultra Chic

Darja Barannik is a Russian-Norwegian Fashion Editor and journalist. Most of her life has been in Norway and sometimes around the world. I like Darja’s style because she combines the Scandinavian look with a chicness on another luxurious level. She is one of those girls that only live a couple of blocks from my home in Norway, Frogner.  That’s why I love following and see what’s up in the neighborhood, but also around the world.

Packing the Scandinavian Look

It is all about finding your comfort zone! The Scandinavian look is about being laid-back, cool, and no fuss. Pack the things you like, and even better if you can use it in layers. I always have jeans, wool sweaters, silk tops, walkable pistol shoes, and a big scarf. I hope that can get you started! Please, ask if you have any questions!!

I have always been fascinated by Cuba. It is a place where you become much more aware of how much you have and how lucky you are with all your things. It teaches you to be happy about simpler things, it teaches you to be present, and most of all, to go with the flow.
